Connor returned to his birth country for the first time since childhood to attend his father's funeral and clear out his house. When his late father's friend shows up at the wake with a startled new bride, Connor can't help but feel uneasy. The locals whisper that she may be a selkie folk, a seal turned into an alluring woman. He doesn't believe them, of course, but there is something more to it than he understands. As he clears the cobwebs on his parents troubled relationship he can't help but find their story, and the story of the selkie folk cross in mysterious ways.

Theodore Whitaker lead a quiet life of small town odd jobs and bringing road kill back to life. His rules for necromancy are simple: Only bring back human caused deaths, and absolutely no humans. When a young woman's body is found outside his home, these two rules are at odds. Against his better judgement he brings Delilah back from the dead. Now the local sheriff is harassing him, his past boyfriend is part of the investigation, and Delilah's new life may be in danger.

Penelope is a dream. She is brought to life in the dreams of Alejandro, a young man who must be crushing on her hard in the waking world. As he dreams of her more, she grows more alive and able to truly exist in the dream world when he isn't in it. Just as they grow close, Alejandro ceases to dream of her in a positive light. What has the Penelope in the real world done to ruin their relationship? She must find a way to make him Lucid in her world so she can win him back, regardless of the "real" Penelope's actions.
