"Wow – just wow – I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first read it. A horror novel perhaps? A survival fiction? But that’s one of the mysteries I loved about it, the direction kept shifting, keeping me on my toes the entire time.
I feel for Briar and it makes me wonder if her accident was really worth surviving. There are just enough twists that my heart was in my throat on more than one occasion imagining what’s going to happen to her next.
